Chainformation, a leading provider of software for retail, franchise and chain businesses, has successfully implemented its retail software platform with Colorama, Scandinavia’s most expansive retailer of paint with over 175 store locations.
Tooling up with the CCM retail software platform, Chainformation provides Colorama with a custom built, easy-to-use tool for the daily operations of a store.

The relationship between Colorama and Chainformation began in 2007 when the retail chain began moving assertively to leverage its size to achieve cost savings through increased buying power, and focusing its marketing efforts to establish Colorama as a national brand.
“Growing from a multi-branded retail network to a centrally coordinated mono-brand retail chain doesn’t come without its fair share of headaches. To support the transition and our 1,000 employees, we decided to implement a retail software that enabled communication, collaboration and content to be shared with speed and efficiency. CCM by Chainformation was the obvious choice,” says Anders Lundblad, Marketing Director at Colorama.
By implementing CCM, Colorama were able to consolidate existing legacy systems and move to one common retail software platform.
While CCM is ready to be used out of the box and can be implemented in just 2-4 weeks, Colorama worked with Chainformation to develop additional features catering to the retail chain’s specific needs.
For example, Colorama use CCM by Chainformation to communicate with the members of its loyalty program, rolling out mass mailings and store promotions.
Through a specific e-learning module, employees from any location can take part of training programs and take tests online, including the new recruitment training.
Also included with the retail software platform, is the Web Content Management Plug-in. This plug-in provides Colorama with the ability to publish and manage content on local store websites.
